asked questions

What payment methods can I use?

Farmbrite allows you to collect cash, check and online payment methods like credit cards. Credit card processing is supported through our integration with Stripe Pay. You can learn more about the payment options Stripe offers here. Note: additional setup and fees maybe required when configuring online payment options.

Can I email my customers an invoice?

Absolutely. You can create back office orders or allow customers to be invoiced and pay later through your online store. You can then easily send then an invoice with payment link to collect payment.

How can I manage my order workflow?

Farmbrite provides flexible order statuses to allow you and you team to easily track, report and manage orders from the initial order through approval, picking, shipping and delivery.  

Can Farmbrite help with sales tax?

Farmbrite allows you to configure a default sale tax amount to be added to in-store or in-person orders and set tax rates based on each product and product type. You can also also configure advanced automatic sales tax calculations through Stripe to automatically calculate and charge sales tax based on your product category and customers location.  

Can I collect payments in-person with a point of sale (POS)?

Absolutely. Farmbrite offers flexible sales channels that you can use to sell to your customers wherever they are.  These include back office/admin orders, an online direct to consumer e-commerce site, and a point of sale (POS) system that your team can use at a retail or market location to easily create and process in-person orders. The point of sale system optionally integrates with Stripe terminal readers to allow in-person credit card processing.

Does Farmbrite charge a fee for credit card processing?

Heck no. We do no charge any additional fees when you process credit card or any other payments through Farmbrite.  The order management and eCommerce features are included as part of certain Farmbrite subscription levels. While we do not charge a fee, Stripe Pay, who provides payment processing, does charge processing fees for different payment methods.  

How does Farmbrite help keep my inventory up-to-date with my sales?

The Farmbrite order management module integrates with your Farmbrite products and inventory items to automatically reduce product availability when orders are placed and to enable your team to easily pick and pack orders, selecting and reducing available inventory items to help keep your inventory numbers up to date.

Can I embed my online store on my existing website?

Yes, you can embed the Farmbrite online shop into your existing website using an iframe. Please note, that some browsers may not support this option, so be sure to test to make sure it meets your needs.

What plans include sales and orders features?

Farmbrite offers a variety of different subscription plan levels to meet the needs of various types and sizes of operations. Not all our plans include sales and order features. You can review our different plan options here to see which is the best fit for you.

Can I use Shopify or another eCommerce system with Farmbrite?

Yes. You can use an other eCommerce system like Shopify for your online store or credit card processing. The Farmbrite's online store features are totally optional. If you plan to use a different eCommerce system you may want to leverage an integration to connect those orders with Farmbrite to simplify you picking and packing process.

Can I set different prices for my product variations and retail or wholesale customers?

Absolutely, Farmbrite is built for flexibility. You have total control over your product offerings and the prices you set. You can easily set different prices for direct-to-consumer/retail customers or your wholesale customers. You can also create multiple product variations with different prices and options to allow your customers to select different sizes, grades or other options for your products.
